The Etsy Shoppe's Pennyworth & some....

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was extended to yesterday(which is monday for me), there were just one too many things that I had to get done, & organized before I could return to the week... We went & seen the Hunger Games on Saturday, it was Great, I thought that it stuck to the book very well, & my husband is excited about going to see it again... Well, since I took yesterday to inventory some things, I also opened a new section on COotC's Etsy Shop page called, the Pennyworth... It will have some less exspensive pieces in it for a flate cost of $12 & under, which includes standard only S&H, for both US & International orders... I'm hoping the pieces in there will be to everyone's liking, & if there's something anyone would like to see, just let me know & we'll do our best to provide it as close as possible... In the next month or so you'll also begin to see more than just jewelry in the Etsy shop, so I hope everyone takes the time to check them out, & give some feedback on what you see... Officially Opened!!!

Hey everyone, Misty here, from COotC, just wanting to let everyone know that my Etsy shop page is officially, now opened. I hope everyone will take the time to go & check it out, you never know, you might just find something you like, or something for a friend or family member. Easter is right around the corner, & you might find something extra for that Easter basket, you never know. Labradorite Chips Wrapped Copper Bracelet....

By the end of this week, my Etsy shop will be open, & it will have three new pieces displayed... One of them being the Copper bangle, wrapped in Labradorite natural gemstone chips, that I completed late last night, or very early in the morning, however you want to look at it... Once I have all three finished, they will be going directly up onto Etsy.com... My plans are to work on 2-3 pieces a month, until there's a certain amount of pieces instock, then i'll stay at that stocking number & just re-stock when something is no longer available... I haven't decided yet if there will be, just, specialty pieces, or if I will keep up inventory of the pieces instock.. This will depend on the sales... I've posted some pics of the finished bangle, i'm still working on photography, lighting, & prop positioning, some things have looked great & others not so much, so I hope this issue resolves itself soon.... Just might have to start rummage saleing to find the right props...

What I'm working on....

Today I finally got what I needed to start on my copper bangle I'm making... I'm using 16 gauge copper wire, 22 gauge copper wire, & Labradorite natural gemstone chips... I'll be using the 22 gauge wire to wrap the Labradorite chips around the 16 gauge wire, that I have shaped into a bangle, wire wrapped the ends, & then will begin wrapping the chips with the remaining wire... I'm excited about getting this piece done & will post pictures (in steps) when it is complete...

Here's a wonderful craft that I stumbled upon thru Pinterest, & then onto the blog & tutorial, for all of you gardener's out there.... This would also make a great project for Earth Day (April 22, 2012) this year, just simply plant baby trees into these pots, & then set them out to sell or to give away freely.... Although if you charge a small donation fee, the profits could be used to go to a local charity or non-profit organization, say like maybe a "Green" one....

COotC Etsy Shop to Open Soon.....

I am very excited to announce that sometime this week, COotC, will be opening a shop on Etsy.com... I hope that everyone will visit, for support of course, as well as maybe finding something that you like... The shop will be starting out with only a, minimal amount of pieces, at first, then from there, one to two pieces will be added monthly, or as soon as an item is completed, whichever may come first.... I will post again soon, & keep everyone updated on the new shop, & the pieces, when they are made available....

All Broke Up....

Here is a simple craft project for your kids... Have your kids collect all of their crayons & dig out all of the broken ones, then take a flexible silicon mold ( that u don't mind using again for food) & simply place the broken pieces into the mold & into the oven for 15 minutes at 250 degrees... When they are finished your kids will have new crayons in fun shapes...

Set Backs.....

Hey fellow Crafter's & Blogger's, it has been awhile since I have blogged or crafted.... I have had a few set backs due to health related issues(Open Heart Surgery), but I am now recovering at home & hoping to get back on track with my crafts & my blogging..... For now until I am, fully recovered my blog posts will only be about once, maybe twice, a month... Until then u can go and "Like" my Facebook page & follow me there where I'll be posting some great inspirational crafts from neighboring bloggers for you to enjoy......
